Is he in pain?

Sometimes when Mathias has his spasms, I wonder if he is in pain? If not why would he go on n on? He has been having spasms e last few days. On two nights he even went on thru e night. He is now at it still while in my arms. Is there anyway of testing if he is in pain I wonder.
